A short, plain-English explanation of how cookies work on PetMealGear and the limited set we use.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file that a website asks your browser to store. It can later be read by the same website to remember a preference (like your cookie-consent choice) or to recognise that you've visited before.
The cookies we set
- Strictly necessary. A single cookie that records your cookie-consent choice so the banner doesn't reappear every page load.
- Privacy-respecting analytics. Aggregate, anonymised page-view counters from a privacy-first analytics provider — no individual tracking, no advertising profiles.
Cookies set by retailers
If you click an outbound product link, the destination retailer may set its own cookies on their domain to attribute the visit. PetMealGear does not control those cookies; please review the retailer's own cookie policy.
How to control cookies
Use the cookie banner on your first visit (or revisit it from the footer) to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also clear cookies and disable them entirely in your browser settings — most browsers let you block cookies per site or for everyone.
Do Not Track
We honour the Do Not Track signal where applicable: when your browser sends DNT, our analytics snippet declines to record the visit.
Updates
If we change which cookies are set we'll update this page with the new list and revise the "last updated" date above.
